Existing in the palette of possibilities of the city surrounding description, the medical line still remains marginal. However, in the modern medicalized culture, when «the health has substituted salvation» (Foucault), there is every reason to see the city as the medical complex. The city can be considered not only as the context, but also as the text of the medical discourse, which leaves traces of its own formation, development, modifications and innovations in the city landscape. The possible medical thematisations, mentioned in the urbanistic literature, are the following: city as a body, city and disease, city and health.
Присутствуя в палитре возможностей описания городской среды, медицинская тема остаётся маргинальной. Однако в современной медикализированной культуре, когда «здоровье заменило спасение» (Фуко), есть все основания увидеть город как медицинский комплекс. Город можно рассматривать не только как контекст, но и как текст медицинского дискурса, который оставляет в городском ландшафте следы собственного становления, развития, модификаций и новаций. Возможные медицинские тематизации, отмеченные в урбанистической литературе, это город как тело, город и болезнь, город и здоровье.
