Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of the reality construction by means of mass media. The reality construction means both the process of information transmission and the meanings creation. The analysis of mass media as communication does not allow finding out the specificity of the reality effects because of communication acts deontology. On the contrary mass media as the meanings creation is often connected with the problems of the reality. It allows forming the idea of mass media reality effects and distinguishing them from the reality as itself. The article offers the consideration of the forming and working of the cumulative effect.
