Abstract
On the basis of the socially-philosophical literature spiritually-moral orientation of Russians in a context of syntactic parallelism of concepts «idolatry» and «spiritual reality» is analysed, the essence of the category «spirituality» is revealed, the role of conservative values of native culture and history is defined, results of social group interrogation - students of higher educational institutions of Pyatigorsk are described.
