The structure and functional state of a thyroid gland in children and teenagers under iodic deficiency conditions

Abstract

It is carried out clinical, laboratory research of 360 children and teenagers in the age of 3-17 years (11.5±3.3 years), acted on inspection and treatment in children's somatic branch with a various pathology of bodies and systems. 6.6 % at a direction in a hospital had instructions on infringement of function of a thyroid gland. The basic group surveyed was made by children who have acted with pathology of various bodies and systems. Infringement of structure or function of a thyroid gland in children's age group is diagnosed in 31.2 % of cases, and more than in half of cases became a casual find at inspection of children with a somatic pathology. In 35.8 % it is diagnosed increase in a thyroid gland at a background of the normal maintenance of a level of hormones in blood that is specific to territory of iodic deficiency.
